A 16-cell module from the Pacifica plug-in hybrid. The higher voltage per module makes it a common choice for golf carts and small conversions in the 48–60 V range.
Build with a battery management system
Lithium cells pushed outside their voltage or temperature limits can fail violently. Whatever this goes into needs a BMS watching every cell group, and fusing sized to the module. Never mix chemistries in one string, and handle the module by its case. Before you build with lithium.
