What you are actually buying

Worth being blunt about, because it is the thing people get wrong when they order a hybrid battery online.

You are buying a part, shipped to you or to your shop. You are not buying an installation. Our own installation work — including mobile installation, which is Toyota and Lexus only — happens in the Phoenix metro, by appointment. Outside Arizona, any competent independent hybrid specialist or dealer can fit what we send.

That is the honest arrangement, and it is worth knowing before you order rather than after. It also sets what the warranty can cover: the part, for its full term, provided somebody qualified fitted it within 30 days of delivery and you kept the invoice.

How it works

Send us the VIN
Not the year and model — the VIN. Packs differ within a single model year, and matching the vehicle rather than the badge is what stops the wrong pack arriving. Call, text or use the quote form.
We confirm fitment and price it
You get the exact pack for that VIN, its condition, its warranty term and the delivered price in writing. If two options fit, you see both and what separates them.
It ships in 1–2 business days
Freight, on a pallet, to the contiguous United States (the lower 48) at no charge. Transit is typically 3–7 business days after dispatch.
Your shop fits it
Any competent independent hybrid shop or dealer can install it. Keep the invoice — the shipped warranty depends on it having been fitted properly, by somebody qualified.
Your old pack comes back to us
We send the return label. Send the core back within 30 days of delivery and the $500 deposit is refunded within 5 business days of it arriving.

What ships, and what it costs to send

Both product lines ship free to the lower 48. The difference is the core.

Complete packs

Refurbished and new. Capacity-tested and balanced before dispatch, on a pallet as freight, with a refundable $500 core deposit and 1 year to 3 years of coverage depending on which you choose.

Individual modules

Tested NiMH hybrid modules and repurposed lithium EV modules, sold one at a time, with 6 months replacement coverage and no core deposit. Useful if you are repairing a pack rather than replacing it.

Before you order a hybrid battery online

Three things worth checking, including one that might mean you don't need a pack at all.

Make sure it is the pack that has failed

A fair number of hybrid battery warnings are not a worn-out pack. A blocked cooling intake, a failing 12V battery, a stuck cooling fan or a sensing-circuit fault all produce hybrid warnings. Line up the shop before the pack arrives

The warranty asks for installation within 30 days of delivery by a qualified technician, so book the work before the freight lands rather than after. A pallet sitting in a garage for six weeks is a warranty problem waiting to happen.

Know what the core return involves

Your old pack has to go back on the pallet the new one arrived on, so keep it. We send the label and you have 30 days from delivery. Ask your shop to leave the old pack crated rather than disposing of it — that is the single most common way a $500 deposit gets lost.

Commercial and trade buyers

Repair shops and dealers order on the same terms, and we also buy cores from the trade. Taxi, rideshare, delivery and fleet use is covered for 1 year, or the standard term if that is shorter — the cap is stated up front because duty-cycle exclusions buried in a policy are how warranty claims turn into arguments.

Shipping a hybrid battery — common questions

Do you ship hybrid batteries nationwide?

Yes. Complete packs and individual tested modules ship to the contiguous United States (the lower 48) at no charge. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, PO boxes and addresses outside the US are quoted individually rather than shipped free, because the freight cost on those lanes is real and we would rather price it than bury it.

How much does shipping a hybrid battery cost?

Nothing, to anywhere in the lower 48, on both packs and modules. A hybrid pack is regulated freight and moves on a pallet, so the cost is genuine — it is already inside the price you are quoted rather than added at checkout.

How long does it take to arrive?

We dispatch within 1 to 2 business days of the order and the VIN being confirmed, and transit within the lower 48 is typically 3 to 7 business days. So most orders land inside two weeks, and a delivery appointment is usual because it arrives by freight rather than by parcel carrier.

What is a core deposit, and do I get it back?

A core is your old pack, and it has value to us because its casing, wiring and usable modules go back into service. We add a refundable $500 deposit to a complete pack and refund it when the old one comes back — you have 30 days from delivery, we send the label, and the refund is issued within 5 business days of the core arriving. Individual modules carry no core deposit.

What warranty comes with a battery you ship me?

1 year on a refurbished pack and 3 years on a new one, both unlimited miles, and 6 months replacement coverage on a tested module. It is not prorated — a covered failure in the last month is treated exactly as one in the first. It covers the part, not labour: somebody else fitted it, so we cannot warrant their work.

Will you install it if I am not in Arizona?

No, and we would rather say so than let you find out later. Installation is a Phoenix-metro service, and our mobile installation is Toyota and Lexus only. Outside Arizona you are buying the part and your own shop fits it. Any independent hybrid specialist or dealer can do the work; keep the installation invoice, because the warranty depends on it.

What if the pack arrives damaged?

Report it to us within 5 days of delivery and it is covered. Photograph the pallet before the driver leaves if anything looks wrong — freight damage is usually visible on the packaging first, and a photo taken at the kerb settles a claim that would otherwise take weeks.

Can I return a pack I have not used?

Yes, within 30 days. An unopened item comes back with no fee; an opened but uninstalled one carries a 20% restocking fee, and you pay the return freight. Refunds are issued within 5 business days. A pack that has been installed is a warranty matter rather than a return.

How do I know the pack will fit my car?

We match it to your VIN before it ships rather than to the year and model, which is where mail-order battery purchases usually go wrong. Two cars of the same model year can take different packs, and a pack that nearly fits is a pack that comes back as freight at somebody's expense.

Do you sell individual hybrid battery modules?

Yes — tested NiMH hybrid modules and repurposed lithium EV modules, sold one at a time, with 6 months replacement coverage. Modules ship free to the lower 48 and carry no core deposit. Lithium modules are sold for second-life and EV repair work and must be used with a battery management system that keeps every cell inside its voltage and temperature limits.
