Call a Chevrolet dealer with your VIN and ask what battery work has already been done. A Bolt with a replaced pack has a much newer battery in it, and you should not pay for something you are entitled to have covered.
What we look at on a Bolt
- Battery history against the VIN, before anything else.
- State of health and cell-group balance read from the battery management system.
- Charging behaviour on both AC and rapid charging.
- The 12V battery — an EV has one, and a weak one causes faults that look far worse than they are.
- Whether the range loss is even across the pack or concentrated.
