Call a Chevrolet dealer with your VIN and ask what battery work has already been done. A Bolt with a replaced pack has a much newer battery in it, and you should not pay for something you are entitled to have covered.

Is the Bolt a hybrid?

No — it's fully electric. There's no engine, so battery condition shows up directly as range rather than as fuel economy.

How do I know if my Bolt already got a new pack?

A Chevrolet dealer can tell you from the VIN. It changes the age of the battery in your car and what, if anything, you should be paying.

Can a Bolt pack be rebuilt from used modules?

No. We supply and fit complete packs, and we do not sell rebuilt lithium.
