Is the Prius Plug-in battery the same as a 2012–2015 Prius battery?

No. The standard car uses a nickel-metal hydride pack; the plug-in uses a 4.4 kWh lithium pack. Different part, different price. The VIN confirms which car you have.

Can I get more electric range than the car came with?

Yes — there's a higher cell capacity available for this pack that adds range over the original. We'll quote both so you can compare.

Can this pack be reconditioned?

No. It's lithium, so it's supplied and fitted as a complete assembly.
