Lithium EV battery modules

Modules and cells from electric and plug-in vehicles, sold individually for energy-storage builds, EV conversions and repair. Each page gives the chemistry, voltage and capacity, and every price matches what the national sellers charge for the same module.

EV modules and cells we sell

What these are for

A battery that is no longer ideal for driving range still holds most of its capacity, and as a stationary battery that is plenty. These modules come out of electric and plug-in cars, delivery vehicles and buses, and go into home storage, off-grid solar, golf carts, conversions, and repairs to packs of the same type.

They are not a repair for a hybrid. A lithium hybrid pack is replaced as a whole, not rebuilt from loose modules — for that, see our complete packs.

Before you build with lithium

Every lithium build needs a battery management system

A lithium cell pushed outside its voltage or temperature limits can fail violently. Whatever you build, it needs a BMS that watches every cell group and cuts the circuit when one strays — and it needs fusing sized to the module. If that sentence is new to you, have a qualified installer do the build.

  • Match chemistry and voltage. NMC, NCA, LFP and LMO charge to different voltages; never mix them in one string.
  • Handle modules by the case. Pouch cells in particular are damaged by pressure on the cells themselves.
  • Check the resting voltage when a module arrives, before it goes anywhere near anything else.

Choosing a chemistry

  • LFP (lithium iron phosphate): the most tolerant of heat and abuse, longest cycle life, lower energy per kilogram. The default choice for stationary storage.
  • NMC and NCA: the most energy per kilogram, which is why cars use them. Worth the extra care where weight or space matters.
  • LMO (the early Nissan Leaf): cheap, easy to stack, and gentler to work with than it looks — but capacity varies with how hot a life the car had.

Frequently asked questions

Are these new or used?
Each module page says. Most are removed from vehicles or packs; a few are low-mileage modules from manufacturer test cars; a few are new and unused. The condition is on every page next to the price.
How do lithium modules ship?
By ground, as regulated dangerous goods, packed to the carrier's rules. The largest modules travel by freight instead; their pages say so, and the delivery cost is quoted before you pay.
Can I use these to fix my hybrid?
No. These are EV and plug-in modules, and a lithium hybrid pack is replaced rather than rebuilt. For a nickel-metal hydride hybrid, see our tested hybrid modules; for any hybrid, see our complete packs.

Send us your VIN and we will confirm the exact pack.

Model year alone is not always enough — some of these vehicles changed chemistry or pack packaging mid-run. Checking costs nothing and prevents a return.
